It's official: the Centre Français is preparing the tenth edition of its ball! Each year, one or more artists from the Freie Szene (Berlin's independent scene) come and host an afternoon of dancing under our disco ball, sharing their choreographic talents with participants. Participants are invited to let themselves be guided by the performers, who share their passion with generosity and simplicity.
For each new edition, a photographer captures the dancers before, during and after their performance, and a journalist interviews them about their relationship with dance. These photographs and testimonials will be compiled in a book that recounts the impressions and experiences of these twelve balls.

C’est officiel : le Centre Français prépare déjà la dixième édition de son bal ! À chaque édition, un·e ou plusieurs artistes de la Freie Szene (scène indépendante berlinoise) viennent animer une après-midi de danse sous notre boule disco et faire profiter les participant·e·s de leurs talents de chorégraphes. Les participant·e·s sont amené·e·s à se laisser guider par les intervenant·e·s qui viennent partager leur passion avec générosité et en toute simplicité.
À chaque nouvelle édition, un·e photographe capture les danseurs et danseuses avant, pendant et après avoir dansé et un·e journaliste interroge les participant·e·s sur leur rapport à la danse. Ces photographies et ces témoignages seront repris dans un livre qui retracera les impressions et expériences vécues pendant ces douze bals.
